The Bear Volleyball team hit the road for the first time in 2021 and emerged victorious in a decisive 25-12, 25-10, 25-7 over the host River Ridge on Tuesday. Next up will be a rematch with North Thurston after a five set thriller earlier in February.

Fun night of volleyball with two teams very familiar with each other as Olympia hosted Capital in their first test since the snow storm closed both programs down.   The CHS Cougars won 25-16, 25-21, 24-26, 20-25, 15-6.  The Bears fought back a match point in the third set to extend it the distance.

It took a long time to get back on the court for OHS Volleyball, so why wouldn’t they want to stay on it for as long as possible on Tuesday.  The Bears hosted a tenacious North Thurston Rams program and played the maximum five sets earning a 18-25, 25-16, 15-25, 26-24, 15-8 victory.  Taryn Wilson

Tuesday the long awaited beginning of the 2020-21 COVID shortened season will launch for the Olympia Bears when they play host to North Thurston HS.   JV/C will start at 5:45.   Varsity approximately 7:30.
