The Olympia Girls and Boys track programs finished fourth and second respectively at the SPSL Track Championships this past weekend at Sumner Sunset Stadium. Highlighted by many personal bests the athletes used great weather and quality face to face competition to push themselves to new heights despite competing under COVID protocol conditions.
Stars of the meet included:
Ethan Coleman (JR) earning three first place finishes in the 800m, 1600m, and 3200m.
Ava Wolin (JR) earning first in the 200m and 400m, second in the 100m, and anchored the 4 x 400 relay to a first place finish
Jack Olsen (SR) took the top spot in the javelin, third in shot put, fifth in discus, and third in high jump.
Katelyn Rigg (JR) finished second in the 800m, third in the 1600m, and was a member of the champion 4 x 400 relay.
